It is a tough age, and we all are going through it or have gone through it. At that age, one is more like a child than an adult, but desires to be an adult. Often times the teen does not even understand himself/herself. The hormonal changes compound the problem. It is frightening to be changing. Peer pressure is so important because the teen is trying to have friends and figure out where to fit in the world. Parents sometimes have good intentions but are too controlling. They mean well but err i their ways. It will all work out.Why do TEENAGERS not take parents advice ? When we have lived a lot and you save you alot of problems !?
Called the ';generation gap';. All teenagers seems to rebel. They don't recognize a parent's maturity until they move out and are on their own and have children. Best thing to do is not tell them what to do so much as to suggest alternatives. Parents have to be skilled communicators. Why do TEENAGERS not take parents advice ? When we have lived a lot and you save you alot of problems !?
bcause we don't learn anything that way, we would just be robots. we have to figure out your right in our own way.
The only reason to take elder's advice is because the culture says you should. Children naturally grow from followers to leaders/loners. Thats called survival. Our culture has been continually moving faster, and kids must find their place in a world thats not like you experienced. Yes we are wasting our wisdom, but who's to know how much of it is out-of-date?. The good/sad news is that they will experience even less respect from their kids.
