going to two different states for the summer and one of our friends is going to west virginia to visit his gf. So far we got two vans. Now this is where the problem comes in:
how can we do this trip without getting in trouble?Need easy advice for a road trip...we're only teenagers?
What kind of 'trouble' do you mean?
Make SURE you obey the laws. If you don't have a license, don't drive. Don't speed. And most of all, do not -- NOT -- drink and drive. Don't use pot either. (If you can't have fun without alcohol or drugs, you're beyond my help.)
Don't have unprotected sex either. You might have a good trip, but an unplanned pregnancy (or AIDS) might ruin the rest of your life!Need easy advice for a road trip...we're only teenagers?
To stay out of trouble, one thing you can do is to talk to your youth pastor. There may be people along the way that have a back yard you can pitch a tent in or a parking lot that you can spend the night. They can also vouch for you with your parents that you are OK.
Always be in contact and on the up and up with parents and adults. Get on the web and google your trip-it will tell you drive times and mileage etc. You can figure driving and gas and all-thats how we do vacations, Then we route out out trip, I even cut the maps and make out a kind of scrap book with maps and ideas of places to stop and stay. You can camp out for pennies or stay in hotels if you have an 18 year old withyou. Why 2 vans? Why not one and share everything? Phones are great. We had a group drive 4 states in 2 vehicles and have a blast using walkie talkies between the two on the road. Be a tourist in your own country-get on the web and find the ';giant ball of twine'; and stuff-they are always crazy and fun to see. Be aware of your money and surroundings! Protect the girls! Watch out and have fun!
Just ask your parents. or get one of your friends who is not going to cover for you and say that your spending the night at their house for the week, weekend, or w/e. But do not do the thing whre you tell their parent their staying the night at your house and tell your parents your staying the night at their house. Trust me it always backfires. Or say you wanted to go visit a relative in one of those states. Another thing is if you ask your parents just tell them that there is going to be an adult there.(even though theres not)
