Does anyone have advice for getting a job as a teenager?

I have applied at probably 15 different places, but only received one call back and had one interview. I know most places are looking for someone with experience, but are there any places that hire teens more easily? I understand that the economy is bad right now and there is a lot of unemployment, but any advice would be really helpful because my job search has been frustrating.Does anyone have advice for getting a job as a teenager?

Ask your family and neighbours if they've heard of any suitable openings where they work. Your first job is always hard to get, but knowing someone really helps get you an interview (which is usually the hard part).

Other than that, keep applying. Unfortunately 1 interview in 15 applications with zero experience is fairly typical.
try to get an apprenticeship. The pay is lousy but by the time you are 18 to 21, you will have a job for life.

G to an employment agency or service. They have the best resources for trades eg: plumbing, electrical, computer-related.

In the meantime, try at the local supermarket. I was a trainee manager at the age of 17 at Coles supermarket. I think you have to submit a resume online for supermarket jobs.
