I'm 13, I have to move, leave my bestfriends, my school, the house I grew up in.
I've never moved in my life before, ever.
I dont know what to do. I'm nervous about it, making new friends, a new school, new everything.
What was it like when you moved? How long did it take you to get new friends/make some friends? What was it like?
Were there any things like books or songs that helped you deal with it?
If you can help me thank you soooo much.I'm moving from MA to ME in about a month. I need some advice from other teenagers who have moved around 13..
I am not a teen. But as a little girl, my family moved around a lot. we have lived in 5 different states and I went to a different school almost every year until my High School years.
What I remember most is when I moved to Arizona.
I went to 2 different schools in Arizona. So I guess I went 2 years at one school.
Anyway the best way to cope when you move into your new home, is to go outside as much as possible and try to meet the neighborhood kids more than likely you will meet new kids that will be going to your new school. Try not to be shy and just be yourself.
I was 13 when we moved to Texas. We lived out in the country so I wasn't able to meet people until school started.
It was pretty easy actually. Going into the school for the first time was a little stressful, but remember there will be other new students as well, more than likely anyway.
Just go in the classroom and start talking to people. (unless the teacher say no talking)
I made new friends the first day and by the end of the week I had blended in pretty well. I was shy and still was able to make good quality friends every place I lived.
I listened to my brothers music which was a bit of everything.
Good luck to you and just be your self and try to have fun.
