What life advice would you give to a teenager now?

There's always at least one thing that someone wants to change in their past. So what life advice would you give to a teenager? What life advice would you give to a teenager now?
ooooh damn good question..

I'd say to be nice to everyone...

I know that's easier said than done. It's easier 5 years down the road after graduating high school to say ';I should have acted myself,'; but it's true...

I know how alot of teenagers feel about themselves are based on how they THINK others think about them. And high school life is hard; people definitely get judged... it's not just school, it's a social gathering inside of a building.

I however, still say I wish I could have stepped out of my group of friends and became less guarded and became more open to being friends with other people.

I would also suggest trying out new experiences and hobbies.. I think alot of teenagers do that already, but for me, I didn't do anything outside of the random sports teams; I wish I experienced more like with other clubs like the student council, etc thing.

I thought I wouldn't be able to handle it with sports and school work, but compared to university life and post-university life, the high school work load is SOOO manageable haha.

By experiencing new hobbies and by therefore socializing with more people I would probably have had a better idea of what my skills and talents are and how I can apply them in real life.. it may have helped me pick a better major in university ;) haha or maybe I would have found out a passion that I didn't need post-secondary education for.

Ultimately.. really do try and enjoy your teenage years. I know it's tough.. unless you're lucky enough to be in a good group of friends etc but yeah..

Try and make more friends for life by being friends with people you wouldn't normally become friends with.. seriously.. you'd be surprised how they will come in handy in the future in terms of having connections haha.........

EDIT:

AND.. to show empathy to people deemed as the ';nerds.';

Do you realize those ';nerds'; and those who focus on school are the ones who will really succeed in life??

Connections connections!!

Help boost up their confidence in the meantime because it's hard to be them. What life advice would you give to a teenager now?
for girls don't sell yourself short on boyfriends;wait for the right

one,it's very hard, but far too many girls just want to be popular

and make unwise choices (and get STD's,p.g.dumped,on

drugs/alcohol bad grades fights w parents neglecting social

skills...)

for boys don't go along w the crowd they don't know where

they're going any more than you do/respect the human race

be a man you'll be proud of in 10 or 20 yrs(yes you get older!)
Search for the truth because most of what you read and watch is for those idiots with their blinders on and never be afraid to question what you think is Bullsh*t.
guys pretend they like sluts but in the end if a girl waited for them they will never give them up
