Hey. Im a 5'4, 110 lb. 15 year old girl. I've recently lost a bunch of weight by dieting, and now im looking to maintain my weight.
I know i can maintain my weight with 1600 calories if im sedentary, and like 2000 or so if i exercise. However, even if i eat this much, im still STARVING ALL THE TIME!!!! I seriously have a ginormous appetite! Ive had a huge apetite my entire life...
Im wondering if id be able to maintain my weight even if i eat more than i burn. Im a teenager....
Do any other athletic teens eat way more than they burn but still not get fat???? Can i get away with a couple hundred more calories a day?I need advice from teenagers?!!! :)
well eat salad alot cause thats alot of food and little callories but only homade not mcdonalds and thosde kinds

i am pretty slim
i eat what i want when i want.
but if its like going the shop i walk it instead of the car
when ur hungry eat fruit instead of high fatty foods.

Well bodybuilders eat more than what they burn,2000 calories or more depending on your weight.I only know that if you want to gain muscle,you can eat more,and in your case then probably just exercise a whole lot,or strenght train that's the best i have to give.
Not a teenager, but try drinking ensure in between your 3 main meals a day. It will fill you up and give you the vitamins and protein you need to stay healthy. It helps you gain weight, but with your body burning fat the way it does you may not notice it much. Try one of your drinks with ice cream make it into a shake, it may help hold you longer before your next meal.
by definition eating more than you burn puts on weight.
the excess calories just continue to accumulate.
it's very hard to determine your metabolic rate with and without exercise, don't just trust some basal metabolic calculator you find on a website...you'd actually need lab tests to do that accurately
only way to tell is to eat and see if you gain weight
Well I'm no teenager anymore but I've been threw what you have before. It's best to spread out your meals a day. Eat 4 or 5 meals a day instead of just 3. Three in my opion is not alot. You should be eating every 3 hours. If you haven't eaten in 3 hours. You motablism slows down and your body gets hungry agian. But make sure the meals are natural that will fill you up. That processed stuff is not filling.
try getting alot of vitamin b12 because it helps with your metabolism and get find out what also helps to increase your metabolism then you will be able to eat more and your body will use and get rid of food better
Eat about every 3 hours to keep your metabolism up. Keep these portions small.
just eat more filling foods that have less calories. and plus, it's not all about the calories so yeah of course u can.
