Going into a business as a manager of teenagers, what is a piece of advice you would give to keep the team?

motivated and also to get them to be more responsible and responsive to the manager?Going into a business as a manager of teenagers, what is a piece of advice you would give to keep the team?
Teenagers...hmmmm. Well, that leaves out liquor as a motivator.

Most teens can be good workers if they don't get too distracted from their work or set their own expectations that they are not required to be excellent. For many it is some of their first experience in the work force, so set the bar of expectations high, but not too high. Treat them like asdults and not in a condenscending way. Understand that they are not able to focus for hours at a time and will need a few minutes every hour to divert their minds from intense work. Older workers may need 10 minutes evry couple hours by comparison. Don't ignor screwups, but take them aside privately to discuss it rather than persecute them publicly (good advice for any age).Going into a business as a manager of teenagers, what is a piece of advice you would give to keep the team?
first off be yourself,be know who you are and don't except nonthing less the what you give.be there friend but also be there manger.what i mean is know the difference between th two know when to be that friend and when that time come know when it's time to do your job and act as there boss.but be strong and know where you stand and most of all know you....good luck....TRUST
tell them not to be afraid to ask questions, even if they are afraid of sounding stupid. =)
