ADULTS: What advice do you have for teenagers?

I'm a 15 year old girl - What advice do you have for me, about anything, about life in general?ADULTS: What advice do you have for teenagers?
Dont eat yellow snowADULTS: What advice do you have for teenagers?
Forrest Gump said it best. Life's like a box of chocolates and oh yea. Don't take advice from strangers.
Understand that you are young and stupid. Being stupid is part of being young and only time fixes it, we all have to go through it.

Follow your heart. You are much less likely to regret anything so long as you follow your heart.
Love the people around you. You'll realise how much you'll need them when you grow up. Many successful people are those who can network well.
every action has a reaction
listen to your parents!
what advise you want???

mail me! am best advisor....
NEVER,

Smoke

have sex before marriage

trust a guy because he says he loves you

Try drugs

Lie

Steal

cheat

ALWAYS

listen to your parents

do what you know is right

do what you say you are going to do.
Wear sunscreen.

Don't be in a hurry to grow up.

Do one thing every day that scares you.

Sing.

Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss.

Don't waste your time on jealousy.

Remember compliments you receive. Forget the insults. Keep your old love letters.

Stretch.

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees.

Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much, or berate yourself either.

Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room.

Read the directions, even if you don't follow them.

Do not read beauty magazines. They will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents. You never know when they'll be gone for good.

Be nice to your siblings. They're your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go, but with a precious few you should hold on to.

Travel.

Respect your elders.

Don't expect anyone else to support you.

Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you're 40 it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.

But trust me on the sunscreen.
I am 24...

My advice would be to stay in touch with your friends, try to stay out of the drama and just be a friend to everyone, cause it always comes to bite you in the a** in the end. Be nice to everyone, even if they are so called ';geeks'; cause everyone can be a pretty cool person, even if they don't look the same as you, do well in school, work hard, plan for your future, save money.
Well my dear, How much time do you have and how much do you want to read? I wrote a whole book of advice! You can read part of it here: http://www.auntlaya.com (see where it says ';read sample chapters'; on the left side) and you can read other parts of it here: http://tinyurl.com/2yxoht (click on the book cover and ';search inside the book';) and you can read my blog here: http://www.auntlaya.blogspot.com/

Now, the short, custom Y/A version:

Believe in yourself

Trust your intuition

Pain is a part of life, use it to grow

You have the power of choice, choose well!

Keep good boundaries

Know that you are beautiful

Choose joy

%26lt;3 and (((hugs)))
*Stay single

*Don't believe it when they say I'll be back in five!!

*Their always lying when they say ';Oh but babe I love you';.
listen 2 wht ur parents say, and wut ever u do, *******pretend ur parents and a cop possibly r looking over ur shoulder.*****
stay in school

stay away from drugs

stay away from boys,.........for a few years
Everyone has advice on how to live a better life, be a better person etc, most of it nonsense. Mine may be as well, but here goes. Live life for yourself, if you cant love yourself, no one else will either. Make the best decision you can and never second guess yourself, things always look different in the past. Lastly, as long as you can face the person in the mirror with a smile, your doing good. There is no real secret, but if you like yourself, others will and success will follow.
Don't sleep with every guy you meet. It makes sex a downer after a while. Don't mess with drugs. Study and possess a good education. Jobs are hard to come by if you have no formal education, and you can't live on minimum wage anymore. Learn to support yourself. Learn to cook. One day you will be doing it for yourself. Figure out what you want to do for a job and study at a very young age to achieve it. Be kind to animals. Don't ever expect a man to support you. Don't have babies until YOU can give them a good home and healthy life. Be cool. Don't smoke cigarettes. They really will kill you, and worse, if they don't, they will make your life a living hell.
The best advise I can give is to breath. A lot of things seem to be so important now, and will not seem to be in a few years. It all gets easier. Try to have fun and don't take everything too seriously!
listen to your parents, they know what they're talking about.
I would say balance out your life right now. By that I mean balance fun with school etc. I would also say be there for your family because you never know when you might need them. If you are not close to your parents right, dont worry as your mature and grow the ';age gap'; will disapper and you should become closer. Also have fun now but have a plan of what your want in the future, such as what you want to do when you finish school. And also dont make boys number 1 properity. Hell if you find the 'one' now congrats, but you are young (im only 21 but ive seen a good few girlfriends stop their lifes for boys only to realize what a waste that time was and how much they could have accomplished by now. (ive also seen people meet their soul mate at your age) BUT ALSO LISTEN TO ADVICE GIVEN TO YOU, YOU DONT HAVE TO FOLLOW IT BUT JUST LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
DONT HAVE SEX! .... hmmmm and stay in school :)
Live it well cause when its over...
Concentrate on school this will decide your future. I know it seems like it will never end, but blink your eyes and your 30
I would tell them not to do drugs, stay in school, obey your parents, try your hardest in everything you do, %26amp; be careful.

Best of Luck!

Tuesdays with Morrie is a VERY inspirational book by Mitch Album
i have some good quotes for you : )

dance as though no one is watching you. love as though you have never been hurt before. sing as though no one can hear you. live as though heaven is on earth. - souza.

';finish each day and be done with it. you have done what you could. some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. tomorrow is a new day. you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.'; - emerson.

';to laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. '; - emerson

be the change you wish to see in the world- gandhi
Live it up be naughty!
We guys are assholes for awhile. Once we lose the girl, then we become mature.
Don't do something you know you'll regret.
You only get one chance--do it right.

Don't do anything you will regret later. I know, because I've been there.

Say only things you mean, and say them in a sincere way.

Oh, and there was never a worse time of my life than when I was a teenager....Hang in there, it gets better. I promise.
im 19

trust me when i tell you this.

school IS important school is not about boyfriends and all that ur friends do. dont let people change who ytou are because once your older and you relized you changed to just be like the ppl you hang with and you see who you really are in someone else thats gunna suck so just be yourself i learned the hard way oh and member school is important beleive it or not your future depends on it. not your friends nobody just school. but have all the fun you can donttake love as a serious thing yet real love will come when your on your 20's or around there.
im only 20 and within the five years between us, you will come to realize numerous things! its amazing how much the mind changes.

1. the drama in a teenage life is so overrated and not even worth ten cents!

2. get involved in any and every school event and club, because you will look back and regret not being more involved and missing out on the friends you couldve made. :)

3.when prom comes around, GO even if you dont have your dream date! your true friends will make it a blast for you, and youll have the best night ever!

4. please dont get caught up in all the hype about having sex at such a young age. its not that cool, its not that fun, and its definitely not worth doing just to keep ';friends';. trust me, do you really want to be remembered forever as ';the girl who ****ed Joe in the locker room';? oh, and ALWAYS use a condom if you do decide to have sex. STDs are inevitable and never go away, so having a permanent scar like that will never let you forget about the mistake you made.

5. be responsible NOW so that things will be easier for you to acquire later! being responsible now shows your parents you are capable of having a car your senior year! and its a great skill to have when your older.

6. Do well in school! it seriously leads to your future and it will be funny when your friends come back to your HS reunion and see that youre a CEO and they sweep the floors at your old elementary school!

7. Stay true to yourself. dont let others define you. :)
